This is a list of the BEST Christmas gifts, or at least my top Christmas gifts for 2019. These gifts are all practical, every-day items that either I use and love myself or have heard great things about. This 2019 Healthy Holiday Gift Guide is perfect for family, friends and even coworkers.
It's easy to feel overwhelmed this time of year. There are so many things to get done, on top of the busy lives we already live. Hopefully, these healthy holiday gift ideas can help take away some of the stress of searching for the "perfect" gift. As, gift giving shouldn't be stressful or overwhelming, but rather enjoyable! So, here it is:
2019 Healthy Holiday Gift Guide
Specialty Food
Holiday Nut Butter - Holiday flavored nut butters are a great gift for any foodie. This sampler comes with three different flavors: Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, Coconut Cardamom with Chia Seed and Chunky Almond, Cashew + Coconut. Paleo friendly and perfect for the holidays.
Maple Syrup Sampler - Who doesn't love maple syrup? A sampler of organic maple syrup is the perfect Paleo friendly holiday gift.
Coffee Sampler - Any coffee lover would enjoy a sample pack of organic coffee. This sampler contains six different organic flavors: Sumatra, Peru, Guatemalan, Espresso, Colombian and Good Morning.
Mushroom Coffee & Elixirs - This sampler pack from Four Sigmatic contains 10 different samples: coffee, elixirs and cocoa. Not only do they taste great, but these are all Paleo, Vegan and organic.
Chocolate Sampler - This is some of the BEST Paleo chocolate. It is made with organic fair-trade cacao, unrefined organic coconut sugar, organic fair-trade cocoa butter and tastes amazing!
Organic Spice Gift Set - Primal Palate makes some of the best Paleo spices. They have a few different gift sets that would make for a wonderful holiday gift.
Organic Tea Sampler - Stash Organic tea has a fun variety pack with 15 different flavors (45 bags) of tea. This gift would be great for any tea lover and paired with some fun glass mugs.
Appliances
Stainless Steel Coffee Makers - This year, I stepped away from plastic and made the switch to 100% stainless steel coffee makers. My husband and I switch off between the Presto 12 cup coffee maker and the Mueller French press - both plastic free and make great tasting coffee.
Hand Held Frother - A frother is definitely not a necessity, but it gives coffee and hot cocoa a professional finishing touch and makes a delicious foamy cream. This would be a great gift to pair with specialty coffee and a cute mug.
Almond Cow - If you haven't tried making your own nut or seed milk before, then you're missing out. It is fresh, preservative free, the flavor options are endless and it's easy to make with apliances like the Almond Cow (code REALFOODRABBIT for $15 off). This is a great, easy to clean nut milk maker. Great for anyone who can't consume dairy or wants to make their own plant based milk.
Mini Waffle Iron - It's my personal opinion that every household needs a mini waffle iron. They're convenient, easier to use than full sized waffle makers and cute (that's an acceptable reason to get one, right?!). This gift would go well with a bag of Paleo waffle mix and/or an organic maple syrup sampler.
Hand Held Blender - A hand held blender is a great kitchen tool to have. I use mine to make anything from whipped cream to mashed potatoes.
Berkey Filter - Although I don't own one of these, it's at the top of my Christmas list this year. Everyone drinks water, yet it is one of the most contaminated substances on our planet. Having a well filtered water system is something that I've been wanting for a while now, and this filter is a great step towards lowering the toxic load my body is exposed to.
Food Processor - Food processors are magical! You can do so much with one. From making homemade nut butter to muffins to smoothies, they can do it all. The one linked is the food processor I recommend. It is powerful enough to do all the above, unlike some cheaper models.
Vitamix - I know a Vitamix is an expensive gift, but it's worth the extra price. A Vitamix is simply a lot more powerful than a "normal" blender. The one linked is the one I own and love.
Bakeware
Silicone Baking Cups - Silicone baking cups are a MUST. Not only do they reduce waste (great alternative to paper liners) but you can remove muffins easily, without them sticking.
Fun Shaped Cookie Cutters - These cookie cutters are great because they leave a fun design after stamping. They are great for shaping cookies, pastries, fondant, and even playdough. This gift would go well with naturally colored sprinkles.
Measuring Spoons & Cups - Fun, wooden or stainless steel measuring spoons and/or cups would be a great holiday gift for any baker.
Glass Mixing Bowls - Mixing bowls are necessary when it comes to baking. And these glass nesting bowls are the best. Strong and sturdy (I've dropped mine a couple time and they haven't broken or even chipped), durable, various sizes, perfect for baking.
Silicone Spatulas - Yet another baking necessity. These silicone spatulas are the ones I own and love. They are durable, heat resistant up to 450 degrees F and come in various shapes and sizes.
Home & Health
Magnetic Wine Charms - Wine charms are the perfect gift for anyone who likes to entertain...or simply drink! These magnetic charms come in all sorts of shapes, from cats and dogs to unicorns, Christmas and beach themed.
Silicone Food Storage Bags - A great way to lower plastic use is to invest in silicone food storage bags. These are a great gift for anyone that is environmentally conscious. These bags are durable, leak proof and easy to clean.
Silicone Straws - My kids love to use straws and these silicone straws are re-useable, easy to clean, plastic free and standard in size. They're an excellent stocking stuffer.
Ceramic Succulent Plant Pots - Plants are not only great for decoration, but they help purify the air as well. And you can't go wrong with succulents, as they're hard to kill (I know because I'm terrible at keeping plants alive, except my succulents). These succulent pots are cute and perfect for any home.
Non Toxic Household Cleaning Products - This year, I switched all my cleaning products to non-toxic ones. Branch Basics is my favorite all purpose cleaner. Their cleaner is plant based, biodegradable, non-GMO, and free of toxins.
At Home Health Tests - For those interested in bettering their health, or simply curious about various health markers, at home health tests are a great gift. I've taken a few to determine food sensitivities and my Vitamin D levels.
Men's Hair Pomade - My husband likes styling his hair and I was on a mission this year to find a hair pomade (basically hair gel) that works AND is actually healthy. (Have you checked the ingredients in the conventional stuff?! Not good.) We tried a few brands and this Jack Henry Clay Pomade is the best! Plus, the ingredients are fantastic: beeswax, coconut oil, bentonite clay and essential oil. All organic ingredients, and healthy for all hair types.
Women's Organic Skin Care - Just like it's important to nourish your body with the food you eat, the products you put on your skin matter just as much. One of my favorite organic, cruelty free, non-toxic skin care companies is Be Well Company. They have great cleansing facial oils, deodorant and facial scrubs. (Use the Be Well Company discount code: RABBIT with any purchase)
Baby Skin Products - If someone you know recently had a baby, Primally Pure has an excellent line of baby safe skin products. From baby balm to soap and baby powder, their products are all organic, gentle on the skin and completely non-toxic. (Use the Primally Pure Discount Code: BAKEITPALEO for a discount on any purchase.)
