Savory Sweet Potato Waffles

These Savory Sweet Potato Waffles are Paleo, nut free and easy to make.  They're a great way to use leftover sweet potato.




  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potato, bone broth, egg and avocado oil.  Mix well.
  2. Add in remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour about 1/4 cup batter on a preheated, mini waffle iron.  Cook until done.
  4. Optional: place cooked waffles in the oven at 250 degrees F to keep crisp (and warm).


*I recommend white or Japanese sweet potatoes.  Prior to mashing, wash and chop the sweet potato, then steam in a steamer pot until tender.  Cool the potatoes to room temperature, then remove the skin and mash with a fork or potato masher.
