Description

These banana snowmen are a fun holiday treat to make with the kids.  They consist of fresh banana slices dipped in white chocolate and simple toppings for the hat, eyes, nose and buttons.

Ingredients

Scale

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Cut the mango into small triangles for the noses.
  3. Peel the bananas and slice them 1/2 inch thick, or as thick as needed to easily push through the skewers.
  4. Place three banana slices on each skewer to make your snowmen.
  5. Melt the white chocolate. You can either melt it in the microwave at 20-30 second intervals, or over the stovetop on low heat.
  6. Dip the snowmen in the white chocolate, covering them entirely. I found this easiest to do by pouring the white chocolate into a tall, slender cup and then dipping the snowmen one at a time. Another option is to spoon the white chocolate onto the snowmen, coating each side.
  7. Place the dipped snowmen on the lined baking sheet, then add the toppings. Place a raspberry on top of each snowman head, use 2 chocolate chips for the eyes and 2-3 for the buttons.
  8. Grab a dried mango triangle and place it on the snowman's face for the carrot nose.
  9. Pop the snowmen in the freezer to fully set the white chocolate. They should be ready in about 10 minutes.
  10. Enjoy them immediately, or make ahead of time and store in the freezer until you're ready to serve them.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the freezer.

*I used 12" skewers.  You can cut them down smaller if you wish or use a shorter size.
