Description
This healthier twix ice cream recipe is made with coconut cream and sweetened with honey. It's gluten free, dairy free, paleo and easily made vegan.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can coconut cream
- 1/4 cup creamy almond butter
- 1/4 cup raw honey (maple syrup for vegan)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup collagen peptides (optional, omit for vegan)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 4-6 homemade twix bars, chopped
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients (except the twix candy bars) in a blender. Blend, starting at a low speed and slowly increasing the speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour the ice cream into your ice cream maker and start churning.
- Once the ice cream has started to thicken, add in the chopped twix candy bars. Continue churning the ice cream until it is quite thick (like frozen yogurt). It should stick to the mixing paddle.
- Once the ice cream is done, you can eat it immediately or scoop it into a loaf pan and freeze.
- Store the ice cream in the loaf pan, in the freezer. It does not have to be covered. Enjoy within one month.
