Earlier this year, I brought you all an avocado chocolate smoothie and strawberry banana smoothie, and today I'm sharing this healthy mint chip smoothie.
This paleo mint chocolate chip smoothie is made with avocado and spinach to get that vibrant green color, as well as provide a host of beneficial nutrients.

Each time I've made this smoothie, my two youngest kids hover nearby [impatiently] waiting for a bite. Needless to say, this is a great recipe to share with the kiddos!
Ingredients
Here's what you need to make this vegan mint chip smoothie:
- frozen ripe bananas
- spinach
- avocado
- hemp protein (optional)
- vanilla extract
- peppermint flavoring
- almond milk (coconut milk for nut free)
- dark chocolate chips
The hemp protein is optional. It can either be left out or substituted with collagen peptides or your favorite protein powder.
I used peppermint flavoring to give this smoothie it's minty flavor. Peppermint extract or a few fresh mint leaves would work as well, but you'll have to adjust the quantity.
How to Make a Mint Chip Smoothie
Here's how to make this easy mint protein smoothie:
First, combine all ingredients except chocolate chips in a high powered blender or food processor. Blend on low speed, gradually increase the speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Next, add in the chocolate chips and blend for a few seconds to combine.
Pour the smoothie into a tall glass or small bowl and enjoy!
